HITTING THE ICE

RBV Contracting was hired to be a part of the Little Caesars Arena where the Detroit Red Wings now play. Our involvement in the project was broken into two phases. The first phase was completed for CIMCO Refrigeration and valued at $400,000. This included:

  • Excavation
  • Subbase installation
  • Grading to National Hockey League (NHL) specifications
  • Excavation and backfill for underground mechanical systems for both the practice and main rink

The second phase was the landscaping package for the project and was valued at over $1.6 million. This phase included:

  • Large-diameter tree installation
  • Planting bed installation
  • Irrigation system installation

The finished project stands as a multi-purpose arena that’s recognizable across the country.

We have always loved our hometown of Detroit, Michigan. When we were given the chance to contribute to the world’s view of our city, we were ecstatic.

This project allowed us to help provide a source of entertainment and revenue that can be enjoyed by the entire televised world. Every time we watch the Detroit Red Wings play hockey, we get a little swell of pride.
